Mental Health Care plans
A “Mental Health Care Plan” is a structured approach to managing a mental health condition. It is a comprehensive plan developed between a patient and their general practitioner, with collaboration with a psychologist. There is a strict eligibility criterion which includes, but not limited to, those with Medicare, and a requirement to have a prior established mental health diagnosis. A mental health care plan allows for up to ten subsidised sessions with a psychologist over a 12-month period.
