A “Health Assessment” is a comprehensive review of your physical, psychological, and social health. The purpose is to identify concerns or issues early, enabling timely and suitable intervention. The structure of the health assessment is often tailored to specific age groups and health needs.
Specific Medicare health assessments aim at the following groups, including:
People aged 45 to 49
People aged 75 years and older
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 55 years and older
People with intellectual disabilities
